Abstract

A method for direct reductive amination of aldehydes and ketones, including á,â-unsaturated carbonyl compounds, has been developed, which requires potassium formate as reductant and palladium acetate as catalyst. Suitable amines include both primary and secondary aliphatic and aromatic amines.
